Product Description

Given its tiny size, Chablis has exerted remarkable influence on winemakers worldwide. So special are the flavours of Chardonnay it produces that it has inspired imitations as far afield as California & Australia. Key to Chablis mineral character are its rare Kimmeridgean clay soils. & by using grapes from a parcel of 60 year old vines grown alongside Grand Cru vineyards Les Clos & Vaudesir, the multi medal winning brothers Eric, Emmanuel & Herve Dampt managed to craft a wine of far more intensity than many other Chablis at this price. Summer hay aromas, exquisite balance & finesse & with that all important streak of bone dry minerality, theirs is the perfect white to enjoy with oysters, salmon en croûte or kedgeree.
