Finish & materials The Gogain range is the result of cracked enamelled stoneware production. This enamelling technique, developed in Asia in the 16th century, is entirely handmade in China. To achieve this cracked finish, the ceramic pieces are immersed in water directly from the oven. This significant thermal shock leads to the appearance of cracks & the metallic effect of the colour. The colour, the cracks & the final shape of each piece depends on the temperature, the length of time in the oven, the thickness of the enamel & the mode of application. This finish is entirely handcrafted, each piece is unique & will bring a touch of uniqueness to your table..
