On either side of the solitary beehive are professional stackable beehive trays. These are secured using retractable threaded screws accessed via the lifting lid. The stackable trays allow larvae inspection for the purpose of monitoring & parasite control. The second precision drilled solid block provides maximum insulation for the overwintering larvae of the solitary bees. The third style nesting tube is provided by the 8mm cardboard tubes. Again another professional choice these 8mm tubes are designed to be replaced annually to prevent parasite build up. They may also be used in conjunction with professional paper insert so that inspection can be performed to a pro-level.

Product Description

Our new Coniston Bird Bath is made with our environmentally-friendly material called Clayplas+. This combines 30% recycled plastic content with 70% clay in composite form to give a light weight durable finish which mimics an aged stone finish. The material comes with a 10 year guarantee.

The bird bath comes as standard with a low push-fit base. The bird bath stands to a height of 180mm with its short stem. The Coniston has scrollwork decoration around the bird bath edge on a matt background & in contrast to the water bowl which is finished with a glossy surface.

Extra pebbles (not included) may be put in the water bowl for decoration & to allow small birds to perch to drink.

If so desired a separate tall column may be purchased to raise the bird bath further off the ground. This takes the height up to 620mm with the tall stem. To fit the tall stem, remove the short base & attached the tall stem to the underside of the bowl with a twist fit.
