This is one of the minibugs collection of small functioning wildlife habitats specifically designed for children.

The illuminated minibeast centre is not only great for collecting & studying insects, but it features solar light which glows in the dark & can attract moths.

A rope handle makes your minibeast centre easy to carry so you'll want to take it out & about to collect interesting creatures. The minibeast centre is made from slow-seasoned FSC certified timber so will be be durable & not require any chemical treatments.

On the top of the minibeast centre is the solar lamp this is perfect to attracting night flying insects & bugs such moths & night flying beetles. Make sure that the the rechargeable battery that powers the solar lamp gets a good charge by leaving the minibeast centre out in bright light during the day. Then in the evening open the side windows to allow the insects attracted by the light to enter the study chamber.

The minibeast centre is part of our children's range designed to encourage you to find, collect & study minibeasts. When you've enjoyed looking at them just open all the windows & the top & release them back into the wild.
