Garden Badminton Racket The sport of Badminton originated from a game called Battledore & Shuttlecock in which two players hit a feathered shuttlecock to each other with tiny rackets, but it wasn't until much later that the game's official name became Badminton. This game is played today in either singles or doubles & the badminton players are positioned on opposite sides of an oblong badminton court divided in half by a net. The players in the game use their rackets to score points by striking a shuttlecock so that it passes over the net & lands in their opponent's half of the court. A rally ends once the shuttlecock has struck the ground, & each side may only strike the shuttlecock once before it passes over the net. Although played at international & Olympic level sport the nature of badminton makes it absolutely ideal for recreational garden play. Our superb Air Smash 540 alloy Head Badminton racket is of very high quality, & is designed for the enthusiast.
