Grivels new Helix has been designed & built for the occasional mountaineer or as an axe to be used in an emergency.  The Helix has a unique plastic cover mounted on the head that has been designed to offer extra insulation, considering walking axes are carried 99.9% of the time by the head, added comfort & it protects you gloves from the teeth on the pick.  The cover is removable.

The axe also comes with a leash with a fitted point protector for easy transportation.
