After the death of his Mother and her lover Patrick (Robert Thompson) falls into a coma. Three years later and he is being looked after by young nurse Kathy Jacquard (Susan Penhaligon) who has just separated form her husband (Rod Mullinar). Patrick never speaks moves or has any traceable brain activity at all. As Kathy talks with a fellow nurse in front of Patrick about her personal life and thoughts strange things start to happen.
