English Heritage hailed the base as one of the best preserved Royal Air Force camps in the UK with dozens of War Department-specification red-brick low-rise buildings C & A-type hangars & even the ‘ Fort’ style original control tower still standing. 

On arrival at the discreet gated entrance to Bicester Heritage for your driving experience you might even spot the original ‘scramble bell’ & think you’ve been transported back to a different age. The period setting is so authentic here that it is often used as a 1920s & 30s filming location.

The aim of the very dynamic team behind the concept of Bicester Heritage is to create the UK’s first 'living' centre for historic motoring & aviation.
