Fancy driving a classic Aston Martin? You've come to the right place. We've got a rather lovely (and particularly rare) 1970s Vantage revved up & ready for you at Heyford Park in Oxfordshire. Time to tell you more about this special sports car. In general Aston uses the ' Vantage' moniker for upgraded models of their cars. However for just one production year that spread across 1972 & 1973 the Vantage was a model in its own right. Just 71 of these classic Aston Martin beauties were produced & we're giving you the chance to drive one of them! As you can probably tell from looking at the car the design was something of a departure from the classic Aston style. Like its DB6 stablemate of the same era the car was very much designed with the American market in mind so it's a big fat 4.0l straight six engine under that long bonnet & it's got automatic transmission too. The sleek fastback of this Aston is quite different from the likes of the DB5 that featured in the James Bond... ...

Classic car rides at tracks nationwide! Take a passenger ride in the classic car of your choice & hark back to the golden days of motoring. Whether you're a driver or a non-driver you'll love being a passenger for these rides. Maybe it's your favourite classic car from a film. Maybe you've always dreamt of owning one. Maybe you collected miniature die-cast versions in your childhood. Maybe you're just fascinated by vintage motors. Whatever your story is you're about to make new memories with a passenger ride in some classic old cars. The line-up is truly lovely. It shows off the heritage behind both the British & American car industry. & when you see the cars all together it makes you realise just how innovative car design has been through the decades. In fact we think some of today's car designers could take a leaf out of the books of the car manufacturers in the 1960s & 70s! Keeping these classics on the road is a labour of love. Parts become increasingly difficult to find you need expertise & skill to maintain them as well as deep pockets. Many examples of these seminal cars will be cruising the motorways in the sky making these motors rarer & rarer. That's why it's a real privilege to be able to offer passenger rides in these classic cars. Lovingly restored & cared for they look really good. They still go really well too. There are no driver aids here it's all down to 'proper' driving skill
- which the expert instructor in the driving seat will have in bucketloads. Knowing how to get the very best out of these vintage vehicles your driver will take you on a thrilling ride for six miles. In that time you'll get a good feel for what these cars were like in their heyday. & indeed some of them might have raced around circuits in the fledgling days of motorsport. These wonderfully nostalgic classic car rides are available at a range of tracks around the country. You get to choose which circuit you want to go to & which vintage car you'd like to take your passenger ride in.

The experience starts in Redditch where there will be a very inviting line-up of classic cars for you to embark on your road trip in. Various stopping points are incorporated into the 100mile round trip so you swap cars regularly driving a total of five by the end of the expedition. & of course this is driving on the public roads not just whizzing around a track. As you'd imagine the roadbook for this road trip in stunning classic cars has been carefully constructed (and rigorously tested by the operator!) to use the best country roads. You won't be buffeting along the motorway this tour is more about getting a real feel for the cars & just actually enjoying the sensation of driving

On your tour you'll witness the full manufacturing process from start to finish watching the highly skilled workforce hand build these fabulous Morgan cars just like they always have. The brand was founded in 1910 by Mr Morgan & the company is still 100% privately owned by the Morgan family. A short film at the start of your factory tour tells you all about the history of Morgan up to the present day before you head off to the factory floor. Watch in awe as the ash wood & metal is formed & bonded see the trim shop at work & look on as the final assembly takes place right down to that final polish. We think the factory tour is the perfect icing on the cake for this classic car road trip. You will be shown around by a highly knowledgeable guide & there's even time to stop for lunch in the delightful on-site Morgan cafe before you continue your road trip across the Malvern Hills then back up to base.

Drive a Mini Cooper! & no we're not talking about one of those new-fangled BMW-built Minis we're talking an iconic original Mini Cooper S. This is the miniature driving experience that is sure to put a big smile on your face. The Mini revolutionised modern car design when it was unleashed into the world in 1959. Designed by an inspired Alec Issigonis his remit was to come up with a small town roundabout that was economical on fuel & space efficient too. Initially produced as the Morris Mini Minor & the Austin Seven the car was soon known as the Austin Mini & then simply the Mini. But how did the classic sporty Cooper version that you'll be driving come about? Well Issigonis wasn't convinced about a sports version of the Mini at first. His good friend & motorsport company owner John Cooper eventually managed to persuade him & they worked together to create the Mini Cooper & subsequently the even more powerful 'S' variants. The Mk 1 Cooper first screeched onto the scen... ...

Product Description

Discover a whole universe of classic cars at Bicester Heritage with these exclusive access driving events! Your invite will let you drive one or more rather fine specimens of classic cars as well as viewing some of the fascinating work that’s being undertaken at this centre of excellence. Let us tell you more.

This amazing place is veritable hive of activity in what was RAF Bicester. English Heritage hailed the base as one of the best preserved Royal Air Force camps in the UK with dozens of War Department-specification red-brick low-rise buildings C & A-type hangars & even the ‘ Fort’ style original control tower still standing.

On arrival at the discreet gated entrance to Bicester Heritage for your driving experience you might even spot the original ‘scramble bell’ & think you’ve been transported back to a different age. The period setting is so authentic here that it is often used as a 1920s & 30s filming location.

The aim of the very dynamic team behind the concept of Bicester Heritage is to create the UK’s first 'living' centre for historic motoring & aviation. The site is enormous covering nearly 400 acres so there is plenty of room for a continuously growing portfolio of highly specialised businesses to become established here all based around the restoration storage maintenance & running of classic cars motorcycles & planes.

Where else could you find businesses that specialise in everything from starter motors & car radiators for vintage cars to car body part preparation & bespoke vehicle upholstery skills as well as companies providing full car building & restoration services? One of the original power house buildings has even been renovated to provide superb accommodation for visitors so you can immerse yourself in that Gentleman’s Club feel with touches of Art Deco all around!

Part of the masterplan here is to actually enjoy classic cars doing what they were built to do rather than literally sitting in neutral as an exhibit in a museum. These driving events will see some gorgeous motors come alive to work the track here at Bicester for the pleasure of you the driver.

Using parts of the original airfield perimeter route & the Heritage track this private road is a great place for testing tuning & generally having fun in classic & vintage vehicles. As access to this fascinating site is only by appointment with one of the companies based there these classic car days at Bicester Heritage are a real coup for anyone interested in classic & vintage cars.
