On this Raccoon experience in Shropshire you'll be meeting loads of fabulous furry friends! Taking place at Hoo Farm near Telford you'll spend an hour with one of the fully-trained animal keepers exploring behind the enclosures at this much-loved family zoo park. Suitable for all ages from 10 years old you'll form a small group of four for these Raccoon experiences. Your host will show you around giving you the chance to get up close to some lovely animals. You'll learn lots get to feed & pet some gorgeous creatures too. The star attraction is undoubtedly Little Bear the Raccoon. For Marvel fans it's all about Rocket Raccoon but do you know what they like to eat? With their dextrous front paws Raccoons can easily manipulate foods. From crunchy walnuts & acorns to tasty fish & eggs all washed down with some insects & worms Raccoons have a really varied diet & they simply eat what's available & in season

Confusingly the Raccoon Dogs you'll be hand feeding are actually related to foxes rather than Raccoons like Little Bear but these adorable tree-climbing creatures do have similar facial features hence the name. The neighbouring Coatis are fascinating to look at with their long noses & tails. They can be a little unpredictable so you'll be feeding them through the enclosure but you still get up really really close to them. The Striped Skunks on the other hand just adore the attention. They're nearly always up for a cuddle. They share an enclosure with the Virginia Possum the only one resident in a zoo in the whole of the country & he is utterly enchanting. A great gift to give for families we think the Raccoon experience at Shropshire's Hoo Farm is a superb day out for all ages. Take on the rapids with our White Water Rafting Fort William experience! The starting point for your rafting is just south of the historic Fort Augustus & the whooshing white waters will have you paddling like mad on the River Garry & working as a team to make a successful descent. So you & your fellow white water rafters will be out on the River Garry. What's unique about this river is that it is dam-released meaning the waters are controlled & you can expect a good flow in both summer & winter months & when the gushing white water is manually released at the source near Fort William that's when you can find yourself really rafting! This session has been graded 3 to 4 which means it is a quite challenging course but there will be a qualified International Rafting Federation guide with you in the raft & you will have the best equipment available for your Fort William mission! For your white water rafting Fort William session you will be part of a small group out on the waters of the Garry river in the inflatable raft alongside an instructor/guide. You'll have a paddle in hand & as you go head on into the dips & drops there's no point in ducking as you will be getting wet! You can also expect to go sideways & generally have a thrilling time negotiating these white waters near Fort William that can be seriously rushing during the height of the rafting season. ...
