Join a pasta making class & find out just how easy it is to make fresh pasta when you know how! These classes will teach you everything you need to go about making & cooking your own pasta at home
- including delicious sauces to go with it. If the closest you get to making pasta is boiling up spaghetti to go with your bolognaise sauce you so need this pasta making class in your life. It'll open up a whole new world to you as you delve into Italy's other national dish (alongside pizza!)
- pasta. Anyone who's ever been to an Italian delicatessen or supermarket will know there are rows & rows of pasta on offer including freshly made whereas in this country we're more used to seeing dried pasta. This course will show you how to make fresh pasta which tastes so much different to dried. There's a place for both though in the Italian kitchen so you'll also be learning about & making sauces that go with fresh & dried pastas not forgetting the wine that goes with them too! But back to the fresh pasta making. The key to it all is the ingredients. Your hosts will tell you all about the different wheats that are used whether eggs are added & of course the best techniques for making your shapes. It's pretty much an art-form in Italy especially when delicate forms are entirely produced by h&. To master it & be able to produce decent quantities of h&-crafted pasta takes a lifetime. You might be a lot slower during your class but you'll make enough to cook up several tasty Italian dishes including delicious filled pasta such as ravioli & tortellini. As we mentioned sauces are really important too. Both the shape of the pasta & the sauces are very much regional in Italy so through these classes you'll discover what the classic combinations of pasta to sauce are
- & make them. From scratch. There'll be no opening a jar of Sacla at these classes! So if you love pasta but struggle to know your penne from your linguine this pasta making class is for you. It takes place at the Enrica Rocca Italian Cookery School in London's trendy & very cosmopolitan Notting Hill & is sure to inspire you into making your own fresh pasta once you get back home!

Pearl Of Dorset Helicopter Tour

Shining very brightly is this Pearl of Dorset sightseeing flight! Hop aboard the helicopter and head along the Dorset coastline to Lyme Regis the lovely seaside town famous for fossils and films that's affectionately known as the Pearl of Dorset. It's a lovely place and the journey to get there is pretty impressive too! Your rendezvous point for these helicopter tours is at a farm just outside Bridport. With Jersey cows grazing homemade ice cream on sale in the farm shop and acres of rolling Dorset countryside all around the take off is as pretty as a picture. Once airborne you'll be taking a westerly direction over West Bay and along the coastline. Between Seatown and Charmouth the coastline is pretty wild and spectacular with it. Golden Cap is typical of the area with its golden-topped
cliffs dropping down to the sea. Neighbouring Charmouth is as charming as you'd imagine with beach huts and golden sands. Swooping in over Lyme Regis in your helicopter it's pretty clear why the town is the Pearl of Dorset. Historic shopfronts and buildings on the steep little High Street run down to the beach and the harbour. And there's the famous Cobb which will take you back to John Fowles's 'The French Lieutenant's Woman'. The book was set in Lyme Regis and parts of the film were shot here too. Nature lovers will adore flying over Monmouth Beach and Chippel Bay where even from 1000ft in the air you'll be able to see families fossil hunting. This whole area is filled with walking trails and fossil finds. Getting to see it all from the air give you the chance to observe it all from a
very different angle - and it's a true delight. Your Pearl of Dorset sightseeing flights lasts around 15-minutes and covers over 25 miles of this historic coastline. Taking a camera is an absolute must so you can capture those lovely Dorset panoramas and vistas from your prime viewing position in the helicopter.
