- it has a twin turbo 3.8 litre V8 engine that gives a mighty 592bhp & 0-60mph in 3.1 seconds. The dual clutch gearbox is controlled by a gear change paddle perfectly positioned on the racing wheel so you can whizz up through the gears to get the full force of that breathtaking acceleration. Basecamp for this trio of combat shooting combo experiences is a farm estate in Cheshire. Conveniently located right next to the M56 its just a 30-minute drive from major cities like Manchester Chester & Liverpool to the wilds of this target combat ground.

If you get a sense of military precision about the whole affair that’s because all the shoot instructors are either active or ex-military. Shooting activities are a bit of a speciality here with several of the crew having been shooting instructors in the Army. They’re super keen to get you on target with your shots so there are no gimmicks. It’s all about learning good basic techniques that’ll ensure you progress to be a calm collected & accurate shooter.

So if you fancy a bit of Medieval-style combat choose between the axes & crossbow session or the archery & crossbow version. Archery is really enjoyable & pretty easy to pick up whilst crossbows are a little more tricky to get to grips with. As for axes…who wouldn’t enjoy lobbing an axe to land with a satisfying thud into a huge chunk of wood?

On the Modern side of things we are talking guns. You’ll be shown how to fire air rifles either on the outdoor or the covered range in the case of inclement weather. You start at a relatively modest 15m from the targets & then progress to being 30m away from the knock downs you’ll be aiming at. Then there’s the specific 15m covered ‘hideout’ shooting range which is really good fun for honing your hand pistol skills. & of course you’ve got the axes to try as well.

You don't have to go to the Tower of London to meet the ravens this cheeky chappy is a bonafide Essex resident & he loves nothing more than showing off in front of an audience! Ravens are one of the largest crows. Also known as one of the Corvus species they're easily distinguishable by their size their glossy black plumage & their rather impressive croaky call. Loki was named after the Norse god of mischief & trickery
- & the team will tell you that he certainly lives up to his name. Loki is a highly intelligent bird who was totally stealing the limelight during the falconry shows so much so that he has been given his very own experience. You'll meet lovely Loki the raven & really get to know him. He really is quite a character. He knows loads of tricks (playing the xylophone to let your handler know you're a bit peckish anyone?) & loves solving puzzles. He's super friendly too. He adores flying in & perching on your shoulder (especially when he thinks there's a chance he might be rewarded with a little titbit of food!) & relishes human interaction. He can be really quite a chatty raven & will have you completely enthralled. In essence Loki is a real crowd pleaser & entertainer.
