Drive a 360 Modena & see if you can reign in this well-heeled prancing horse! Offered at the Bovingdon Airfield circuit near Hemel Hempstead you get your hands on this delightful Ferrari for 4 or 8 whole laps. Pure joy. When the 360 Modena was showcased at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show it divided opinion. The 'marmite' Modena was hailed as revolutionary by some & a bit 'meh' by others who considered it not a worthy successor to the seminal 355. The 360 Modena's harshest critics (including Clarkson) hated the new design. Gone were the pop-up headlights. Gone was the large front grille. In came a raised nose (to avoid those Ferrari on speed humps & car park entry ramp scrapes) & in came a new more simple design. These changes were not without reason. The new curvier design was all about aerodynamics with the 360 Modena boasting superb downforce helped by the fact that this Ferrari had the first all-aluminium body. It was also the first to have continuous damper control making i... ...

a F430 Spider. No that doesn't mean it's got lots of legs that's the Ferrari name for a convertible version making this already lovely motor just that little bit more cool. So if it just happens to be a non-rainy day on the day of your test drive you'll be itching to press the button to automatically get the roof folded down into its little compartment above the engine bay. Not only do you get to seriously pose with your sunglasses on & the wind in your hair you also get a frontline spot for listening to that jaw-dropping burbling from the mid-mounted 4.3l V8 engine. superb. In fact it's the engine that made this the replacement to the 360 stand out. It was a whole new power plant for Ferrari & with the six speed paddle shift style transmission fancy brakes & sleeker styling it was an instant hit when launched at the Paris Motor Show in 2004. Little wonder then that car fans can't wait to get their hands on the F430. What we like about this experience is that it's straight down to business with no lengthy classroom briefing it's all about getting you in the car & comfy whilst the instructor gives you the lowdown on what's about to happen & then just going for it! As you power off along the track make the most of your six miles driving this beast of a Ferrari. When you get the signal to turn back into the pit lane it's time to slow down the pace. As you come to stop just take a moment to listen to that lovely idling engine noise before it's ignition off. That's not the end of your Ferrari F430 experience though as you get to have another little look around the track albeit from the passenger seat this time as a highly experienced pro driver take you for a spin in a fully prepared saloon car.

Motoring fans north of the border will love this experience as it combines a bit of Mediterranean glamour with the challenges of this well-known twisty & turning Knockhill track. This little pocket ninja of a car has been a firm favourite with petrolhead for years so we're sure you'll agree that your Scottish driving experience gets off to a racy little start. The idea of the laps is not just to have a serious amount of fun out there but to also take the opportunity to get used to the foibles of the Knockhill track (this is no coned out airfield track after all it's a circuit used for proper racing series & comps). The instructor will be at your side throughout so you can learn more about the racing line the curves & corners as well as opti...
