Scale the heights when you go climbing in Stirlingshire! We are offering beginners the perfect session to get climbing at this outdoor centre near Gartmore. It's great value for your money & everything you need to climb (and abseil back down again!) is included. Sitting pretty right on the edge of the Trossachs National Park you'll find this farm estate that is home to this activity centre & a holiday park. It's just west of Stirlingshire & offers a huge range of things to do. You're going to be here to climb. The centre has a purpose-built climbing tower with various routes of varying levels of difficulty to climb. We have to admit when you first stand at the bottom it looks a long way up to the top but you'll be surprised how high you can climb when you put your mind to it. Helping you with your first foray into sport climbing at this Stirlingshire venue is Ross the Boss & his team of instructors. They're all great fun with all the banter & really good at spurring you on too. Safety is of course paramount so there's always a briefing before you climb & you'll be shown how to get into your harness & how to adjust it correctly. So there you are on the climbing wall. You're making good progress using your hands & feet to reach for the holds. As you near the top of the wall you realise that once you're there you have to come back down. That's when you get to abseil. It takes a bit of guts to begin with but once you're into the rhythm it feels really good. Having conquered the wall there should be time for you to take on one last climbing challenge. This Gartmore centre boasts a very special climbing tree. Yep it's an actual pine tree with actual climbing holds fitted to the trunk. Hold your nerve for this one as the higher you climb the better the views of the Trossachs National Park & Loch Lomond are! Start climbing in Stirlingshire at this centre near Gartmore & we're sure you'll be hooked on the sport. All the gear you need is included in the very competitive price of the voucher & the basecamp has free tea & coffee & a comfy seating area
- ideal for sitting back & reflecting on the time you climbed right up a tree!
