Drive a Radical SR5 racer & feel the full force of this homegrown racing machine! This is the only Radical SR5 we know of that's available for public drives in the whole world making it one of the most exclusive race car drives we sell. In fact only 27 of these special series SR5s were manufactured by Peterborough-based Radical Sportcars. The idea was to create an endurosport race car capable of competing in long distance races. The result was this LMP-inspired SR5
- & it's pretty awesome. In case you're wondering LMP stands for Le Mans Prototype. That goes some way to explaining the design of this special SR5. From the drive planes to the diffusers & carbon bi-plane wing it's all about maximising downforce. Weighing in at just 570kg the SR5 is certainly the featherweight of the racing world
- & it handles beautifully. Setting this Radical apart the SRS is powered by a Honda K20 car engine (found in the likes of the Honda Civic Type R) as opposed to a motorbike engine...

When it comes to vintage flights Compton Abbas is a great choice of airfield. A family-run affair with great facilities & lovely views this private airfield just south of Shaftesbury is offering you the chance to get airborne in an absolute favourite aircraft
- the De Havilland Chipmunk. The Chippy as it is lovingly known certainly has staying power. It was developed by the Canadian arm of the aviation company in the post-war years as a replacement to the equally legendary Tiger Moth. Once it went into full production the likes of the Royal Canadian & Royal Air Forces both put in large orders for the Chipmunk. The Compton Abbas Chipmunk is a DHC-1 Chipmunk T-10 which means it was built in the UK. Coming off the production line in early 1952 she went into military service in April of the same year. As the standard primary trainer for the RAF Chipmunks were everywhere giving young trainee pilots their first taste of flying
- & if you hear ex RAF pilots talk it's a taste that was never forgotten. Indeed the Chipmunk is just so elegant in flight & was a lively aircraft to learn to fly in. This Chipmunk donned the serial number W585 & was resident at RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland for a good chunk of her RAF career. & she was still flying Air Cadets throughout the 1970s. We've even found a photo of her flying on Air Experience Flights for Air Cadets out of Edinburgh Airport in 1975
- & surprise surprise she still sports those authentic RAF colours today. After all those hours showing young pilots the skies on military trainer flights from the 1950s right through to the latest 80s W585 was then shipped to Cranwell to a rather less salubrious role as a gate guard. Luckily she was auctioned & in 2000 was fully restored with love & care by the Duxford team taking a civil registration in the process. She now flies as G-BZGA proudly operating vintage flights out of Compton Abbas airfield. We are offering 30 45 & 60-minute experience flights in this very fine tandem trainer. What's more the whole thing is filmed from inside the cockpit. This is available to purchase on the day so you can watch you flying in 1950s style over & over again!

Drive a vintage Mustang & feel like you're cruising those Hollywood boulevards in style! This experience gives you the chance to get behind the wheel of a classic Ford Mustang whisking you straight back to 1965. Ford launched the Mustang on an unsuspecting driving public in April 1964. With it's super long bonnet & short rear end it certainly caught the eye of many an American motorist wanting a car that looked good but didn't cost a fortune. Within 18 months nearly a million Mustangs been built. So how can a car that was mass produced become to be known as a classic? After all we usually associate classic with rarity. It has to be said Ford certainly made an impact with the Mustang & in actual fact there was nothing else in its league in the car showrooms until the Chevrolet Camaro & Pontiac Firebird came along in 1966 & 1967 respectively so the Mustang basked in it's unique glory for a couple of years. & well it's a case of original & the best for many motoring ent... ...

The Mini Cooper classic is a British popular culture icon straight out the 1960s. These fun experiences give you three or six miles driving a 1968 Cooper S at your choice of track nationwide. So is the old Mini Cooper better than the new BMW one? You've got to hand it to Alec Issigonis
- he designed one hell of a brilliant little car. When the first Minis rolled off the British Motoring Corporation production line in 1959 it changed motoring as we know it. The Mini was simple practical & affordable. A certain John Cooper spotted the racing potential in these little city cars & before you know it the souped up Cooper version was ready to race. & whilst the Mini Cooper was indeed a good racer the car is perhaps best known for its role in the 1969 heist film ' The Italian Job'. Red white & blue Mini Coopers race through the streets of Turin in what is surely one of the best chase scenes ever in a movie. Nipping along the arcades bumping down paved steps turning into tight...

Say a big hearty 'howdy' to the Camaro SS. This is the car Chevrolet finally came up with to compete against Ford's massively successful Mustang. We're giving you then chance to drive a genuine 1969 Chevvy Camaro in all its SS (that's Super Sport) finery. & we reckon you'll love it. Built on Pepsi Cola & hot dogs (or something like that) this quintessential muscle car from the other side of the Atlantic is certainly eye-catching. First Generation Camaros were built from 1967 to 1969 & the model you'll be driving was built in 1969. It's got all the markings of the sportiest version of the Camaro complete with stripes SS badges on the front grille & chassis upgrade to handle all that extra power from the SS V8 engine. Oh & you can't miss those rather large air-inlets on the hood! When it first appeared on the US car market it was like nothing else out there at the time. It has a distinctly curvy almost European style that really appealed to American drivers. The Camaro al... ...

It's like you're driving Dom's signature car on this Dodge Charger driving experience! The street racing leader's 1970 Dodge Charger R/T was a car very much close to his heart. These brilliant experiences will see you driving a 1970 Charger that's been done up to look just like Dominic Toretto's pride & joy. We learnt in the first Fast & The Furious film that Dom & his Dad built this impressive customised Charger complete with supercharger attached to the bonnet. Claiming a mighty 900bhp this beast from 1970 would do a quarter-mile straight line in just nine seconds. & that record was set by Dom's Dad. Since his Father's death Dom keeps their precious Charger in the garage too scared to drive it. But as you might have guessed by the end of that first film Dom is seen roaring along the Los Angeles streets in his fabled supercharged Dodge. Despite being crashed multiple times the Charger rises from the ashes & features in several of the Fast & Furious films along with... ...

Easy to get to off the A1 just north of Bedford it's a proper 4x 4 play park with great on-site facilities. Everything you need to have fun is here with lakes offering madcap water-based activities alongside some rather nice on-shore shenanigans thanks to the off road track. Tucked away behind trees you're right next to the water for these 4x 4 sessions in Bedfordshire. If it's rained recently there's a good chance you'll be getting mud up to the door handles as you splish-splash your way around. All experiences here in Bedford are specifically offered as solo drives meaning that there's no waiting your turn & no swapping drivers midway through. The slot you book is all yours so you can invite a couple of friends or family to join you for the duration if you like
- but don't be surprised if your passengers turn into back-seat drivers! Indeed as you tackle increasingly difficult terrain there's bound to be some expressions of utter fear from the rear. ' Surely this car can't get up that hill?' ' Aren't we going to tip over in a minute?' & ' Is the suspension going to collapse with all the axle-twisting going on?' are the sort of thing you might hear. But fear not 4x 4 drivers in the wilds of Wyboston these modified 4x 4s are designed to conquer pretty much anything you can throw at them in the realm of off roading even if your stomach isn't so keen. Of course your expert instructors will be at your side throughout your session in these 4x 4s at Bedford's Wyboston Lakes. They'll be able to assist with your gear selection & clutch control as well as motivating you to go for that steep drop & then round the corner to steer right over that see-saw. Enjoy the drive.

1968 Mustang Fastback

Meet the Mustang Shelby Fastback - and maybe the Jag E-Type too! You can choose to keep it all-American with a Mustang fastback drive or go totally transatlantic with a drive in both the Stang and the Jag. These cars look so different yet the stats are actually pretty similar. The Mustang can post a 0-60mph time of around 7.0 seconds whilst the Jag crosses the 60 barrier at 6.0 seconds. Underneath the bonnet it's quite a different ball game with the Mustang carrying a hefty V8 engine and the Jag a relatively modest 3.8l four speed motor. But you just have to take a look at the Mustang to see why it needs such a serious power plant. This is one bulky pony car with those distinctive angular lines and fins going on that make it the epitome of American motor vehicles of the 60s 70s and even
beyond. The Jaguar on the other hand is light nimble full of finesse and curvaceous with it. Although production on this car stopped in 1975 the E-Type is still much revered by motoring critics...
