About the Cyclone Table The Cyclone Table is reminiscent of the later work by Mr & Mrs Eames & is also a reminder of the table with a metal base that was created by Warren Platner. In other ways, it is entirely original, not least because of its sculptural form. The Cyclone Table combines the shapes of sculptures & constructions such as railway bridges & the Eiffel tower in order to form a unique style. The metal rods form a beautiful pattern as they criss-cross down from the top to the base of the table, & the minimalistic tones of the materials make this reproduction the perfect table for an office, lounge or living room. Later on the stool also became a small table that was developed into this bigger table. The first stool was created in 1953, & the big table came four years later. The history behind the development of the Cyclone Table shows how one idea can result in several pieces of furniture. Even today we think of this table when we hear the name Cyclone.
