A moment of disorder, empowered by the calm afterward. This season is inspired by the destructive hacking of clothes & wearing the remains with pride & vigour after the black mood passes. Chopped, raw edges & cut outs appear throughout the collection, through storm blue, black, natural white, ice & lilac grey; from leathers to silks. Metal pins are realised in collaboration with Shaun Leane, puncturing dresses & tailoring across shoulders, chest & lapels. Jackets in stretch linen & stretch cotton have collars held by a stud fastening, symbolic lining falling from the body. Metallic, foiled boucl is seen as half top, half lining & structured silk dresses are cut with a raw edge through the torso. Pleated dresses & pristine sleeveless shirts tuck into trousers through double waistbands. Cold water dyes give a distressed illusion to stretch silk-satin. Trousers with liberated viscose silk can be converted, by zips, back to Lynn's streamlined cigarette silhouette. Satin tuxedo stripes disappear as if retailored into pockets on other styles. Knits are built from panels which wrap around the body, their graphic structure also seen across leather boots by Christian Louboutin. The collection is set to a bespoke soundtrack by The Libertines' Gary Powell.
