Rick Owensis a Californianborn fashion designer based in Paris. His aesthetic is shaped by black & white movies & a decayed end of Hollywood boulevard, where he started his label in the nineties. His first runway show in 2001 sponsored by Vogue quickly led up to his 2002CFDA new talent award. His pieces are raw & edgy witharchitectural cutsand structuring. Rick Owenshas grown a large cult following for his signaturegrunge meets glamourlook. Almost 10 years on the label still offers a master class in clean cut minimalism, without forgetting the avant-garde edge. The AW13 collection is named Plinth, for the architectural element that is the link between a structure & the ground. The stabilizing link between construction & nature, or vanity & eternity.
