We all love the joy of watching an indoor Amaryllis flower around Christmas time but the novelty of now being able to grow an Amaryllis in the garden that flowers in the summer yet survives the winter is an extremely exciting breeding breakthrough. We were so impressed by the plants that we have secured the first bulbs for our customers to enjoy. Rather than calling the plant Hardy Amaryllis, the breeder named them Sonatini to avoid confusion with the indoor varieties. In the first year these large bulbs will produce two stems, each adorned with three to four large trumpet blooms around 4-5" in diameter! Prefer very well drained soil. Height 40cm (16"). Spread 30cm (12"). Supplied as bulbs 14-16cm circumference.
