The deer, whose real name is the red deer, is the best known representative of the deer family. This magnificent mammal, with twilight & nocturnal habits, lives mainly in the temperate forests of Europe, North Africa, Asia & even North America. Recognizable by the two antlers that adorn the deer's head, it is a relatively impressive animal that can measure up to 1.50 m at the withers for a weight of between 67 & 300 kg! The coat, darker in males, varies according to the seasons: it can be fine & reddish-brown in summer & become thick & gray-brown in winter in order to protect from the cold.
