The gray wolf is not a solitary animal & must live in a pack to be able to fully flourish. Indeed, the perfect social cohesion that reigns within wolf packs allows them to hunt, occupy a territory & communicate without any difficulty. The pack is therefore a family group, generally made up of a dozen individuals. The outline of a pack normally consists of a domint couple, & the cubs that this pair gave birth to every years. Each pack has its own territory which it is responsible for defending against any intruder. The size of a gray wolf pack varies according to the food resources of the environment, but in principle it covers no less than several hundred square kilometers. The limits of this territory are marked by odorous deposits in order to warn rival packs
