The Moorish Idol is a small tropical fish of about twenty centimeters, recognizable by the wide black and white bands stained with yellow that adorn its flanks, but also by the long filament that follows its dorsal fin extension. The latter lives in the tropical Indo-Pacific zone from the Red Sea to Mexico. You should know that in Polynesia the Moorish Idol is revered and therefore automatically returned to the water when it is idvertently fished.
