Considered as a national symbol of wildlife in Costa Rica & Honduras, the white-tailed doe, like the Deer, is one of the most common mammals in America. As an adult it can measure up to 1m at the withers for a weight of up to 60kg. Once the reproductive period is completed, the gestation of the female can last up to 205 to 216 days, or 7 months. A single litter can have 1 to 3 pups each weighing between 2 & 4kg at birth.
