The panther, also called leopard, is a majestic feline living mainly in the African savanh & in the forests of Southeast Asia, but which can adapt as well to other environments such as the seaside & mountains. Its magnificent coat may be fawn marked with black spots or entirely black. The latest is the result of a genetic mutation, in reality the spots are still present but are only visible from a certain angle of light. Very talented when it comes to hunting, this sixty-kilo carnivore is fast & can make impressive leaps. The panther is able to climb trees & often drags the carcasses of its prey up there in order not to be disturbed by other predators such as hyes.
