The composition is ambiguous but perhaps the tidal mud flats where boats are beached as the tide ebbs out. Littered with the detritus of rubbish and oddities that have been discarded previously into the water, the landscape is not truly wild so much as neglected. In total contrast to this, Woods employs a disconcertingly colourful palette with soft blues and ribbons of red, allaying base fears. As ever, she has a strong graphic element to her work with definitive lines and blocks of colour. A limited edition print of 100, each individually numbered.
