The composition is ambiguous but perhaps the tidal mud flats where boats are beached as the tide ebbs out. Littered with the detritus of rubbish & oddities that have been discarded previously into the water, the landscape is not truly wild so much as neglected. In total contrast to this, Woods employs a disconcertingly colourful palette with soft blues & ribbons of red, allaying base fears. As ever, she has a strong graphic element to her work with definitive lines & blocks of colour. A limited edition print of 100, each individually numbered.
