This hardy biennial will grow to a height of 25-30cm (10-12in). Sow in late spring/early summer outdoors in a well prepared seed bed. Sow the seeds very thinly 1.5mm deep in drills 30cm apart keeping the soil damp until germination takes place. Transplant the seedlings when large enough to handle 15-23cm apart.
When about 10-13cm tall pinch out the growing point to make them more bushy. Transplant 30cm apart into the flowering site in the autumn for flowering the following year. They will grow in most soil in sun or part shade & will flower in spring at a height of 25-30cm.
