Sweet Pea Matucana was one of the first sweet peas to be introduced to the UK around 1700 by a Sicilian monk named Francisucs Cupani. Although flowering size is slightly smaller than modern types these make up for it with their enthralling fragrance.

Product Description

Sweet Pea Matucana was one of the first sweet peas to be introduced to the UK around 1700 by a Sicilian monk named Francisucs Cupani. Although flowering size is slightly smaller than modern types these make up for it with their enthralling fragrance. With gorgeous maroon & violet flowers this climber is superb for arches trellises & obelisks.

Type: Hardy Annual
Sow: October to January indoors or March to April outdoors
Soil Type: Prefers a welldrained soil in full sun.
