A great Taster Pack for you King Edward Main Crop Seed Potatoes are an old favourite; a traditional variety said to have the finest flavour. They have white skin with a very distinctive pink colouration which makes it an easy potato to identify.
The tubers are oval to long oval small with parti-coloured red/white skin cream flesh & shallow eyes. King Edward is very much a floury potato which makes it great for baking boiling chipping roasting & mashing.
Before planting seed potatoes they need to be chitted. Chitting encourages the growth of the shoots on seed potatoes before planting & will produce heavier crops than would otherwise be obtained. Work back from the intended date for planting to decide when to start chitting.
