    With an exciting & colourful range of robust densely packed flower spikes this traditional lupin will enhance any garden scene. An easy & very rewarding hardy perennial to grow in borders the plant will grow to a height of 90-120cm (36-48in).

    Sow Feb to June or September to October. Soak seed overnight before sowing & germinate at 20-30C on the surface of a good free-draining damp seed compost. Apply a layer of compost or vermiculite 3mm deep. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 18-21 days.     Lobelia Tupa is an unusual Lobelia which is very tropical in appearance. Thick red stems carrying tropical looking orchid-like scarlet red flowers arise from a large rosette of thick leathery felted leaves. Best grown in a sheltered sunny position. Needs winter protection.
