The ceramic dome provides an attractive & functioning nester which can either be installed for birds & bees on a tree side of a building or similar with the bracket provided or can be installed at ground level for pollinating bumble bees.

Manufactured from high-fired & glazed clay making it naturally frost & weather resistant it features an arched entrance as well the raised plug in the central part of the base in order to keep the interior floor perfectly dry. It is beautiful in appearance & would make an ideal gift for any gardener or wildlife lover.

As a bee nester it can be used from February onwards & is best located low to the ground in a sheltered position in dappled sunlight such as under a hedgerow or adjacent to a wall line. The bees may start using it straightaway or they may lay down their scent on the bedding this year & start using it next year. It is important not to clean out the nester during the first year to ensure that the bees scent is not lost.
