The trousers are fully waterproof and have a rating of 20, 000mm of water column pressure, which means that even in the worst the weather can throw at you, you will remain dry and comfortable for the entirety of the round. A coating on the fabric allows water to 'bead' on the trouser and simply drop off onto the floor meaning it cannot penetrate to the layers below.
