Expiry date for seeds April 2024 A super easy & fun way to get your greens, Chia seeds alone have tonnes of health benefits, but when you sprout them you really have created a nutritional powerhouse! The sprouting process breaks down the outer layer of the chia seed making them easier to digest, but they are still an excellent source of fibre, chlorophyll, protein, calcium, & iron, in fact sprouting them increases their nutrient content. Sprouts are great in smoothies, salads, or use in a sandwich like cress. The kit is very easy to use, simply soak your unicorn & the seeds in water for half an hour, when the seeds have turned gelatinous you can spread the chia jelly onto the porous parts of the unicorn, leave for a couple of days, once the seeds have fully adhered to the unicorn you can then fill him up with water, & the little seeds will absorb the water through the porous clay. The body of this magical beast where the seeds go is dry to drink the water, but his head, mane, & tail are glazed & shiny. An excellent way to get little ones to 'eat some greens', & it only takes between 4 & 7 days for your chia to sprout, get kids to eat these healthy microgreens all up so they can re-plant & start again.
