This is a professional solar landscaping light, offering the same amount of brightness as a mains powered light but without the ongoing running costs, & with a much simpler installation. The lamp is designed for 'flat mounting', & comes with the long strong screws & plugs to do this. The coach style lantern will automatically light after dark (dusk til dawn), & then switch to full brightness when motion is detected within a six metre range, & will stay bright for forty seconds, before reverting back to low level light. The high capacity batteries are the same ones used in high power rechargeable drills, & the large solar panel will charge on most days even when overcast, the lamps still need to be positioned somewhere that receives good sunlight, placing somewhere with too much shade coverage will affect its ability to charge! Also bare in mind, if where you're planning to place the lamp is situated too near another light source such as other street lighting, then this might affect it's ability to switch on as the dusk til dawn sensor will only activate when it is actually dark!
