Original can split wood up to 16cm diameter, King size up to 22.5cm 2. Does it need to be sharpened? No, The unique wedge design of the Kindling Cracker means the blade does not need to be razor sharp to work well. But it can be sharpened if you wish. 3 Will it wear out with lots of use? No, top grade cast iron is used to make the Kindling Cracker. The Kindling Cracker will last for generations if cared for, made in a finest top quality foundry in Australia...beware of cheap Chinese copies! 4. Can it split hardwood? Absolutely, any wood that can be split with an axe is no problem 5. Does it have to be fixed?
