A Tibetan singing bowl is basically an inverted bell, that's played by striking, or by rotating the mallet around the rim to produce a sustained musical note. Originally used in religious practices to aid meditation & chanting, they are now widely used for making music, & meditation, & so favoured by music & sound therapists & yoga practitioners. Our singing bowls are hand painted in India, red on brass with an inlay pattern of the 'root' Chakra in the bottom of the bowl. The bowl comes with its own little cushion for the bell to sit on, & a little wooden mallet to strike the bowl, or to make it sing! Packaged in its own pretty box, on the inside lid of the box is printed with a little bit of information about the Root Chakra, & a little bit of history of the singing bowl.
