The EC145 received a new fuselage with a roomier cabin, with electronic parts, flight control & navigation systems based on the EC135. The EC145 combines the latest technology, spaciousness & economy to be the best in its class. To research into intelligent avionics which take into account the mental capabilities of man, with processing mechanisms as a type of processor element, a semi-autonomous pilot-assisted system called PILAS is currently being tested. This new system monitors & stores all the data needed to pilot a helicopter together with the actions of the pilot.
