This Tipi adventure provides overnight accommodation in luxury tipi lodges, located in remote & exclusive riverside settings on the River Wye in Herefordshire. The riverside setting is an ideal location to relax & maybe catch a glimpse of a kingfisher or otter. The luxury Tipi is based on the traditional style used by the Sioux Nation. The Sioux were a large group of Native American tribes that traditionally lived in the Great Plains. Many Sioux tribes were nomadic people who moved from place to place following bison. The Sioux lived in tepees made from long wooden poles & covered with bison hides. The poles would be tied together at the top & spread wide at the bottom to make the shape of an upside down cone. Tepees could be taken down & set up quickly. This enabled entire villages to move on a regular basis. Your Tipi accommodation comes complete with sleeping bags, pillows, blankets & fresh linen plus cooking equipment, crockery, a barbecue & open fire. This unique outdoor experience is specifically designed for those wanting a blend of adventure, comfort & peace. Relax & enjoy the quiet surroundings, walk along the river to the pub, explore the area or if you are looking for something a bit more adventurous you can hire a canoe for the day at an additional cost. The Canadian canoes used comfortably seat three adults & full safety briefing & equipment is provided. All essentials are provided, kitchen & bedding equipment, flush toilets, hot showers, fire wood, a BBQ, fire lighting equipment, drinking water, cleaning equipment & much more. You just need to pack your own food, drink, clothes & wash kit.
