Sun Jar - For Mum
Bring a little sunshine to her life with this fantastic Sun Jar. Crafted from a traditional Mason jar, with a high-tech touch, it's perfect for adding a warm, yellow glow to dark porches, bedrooms and windowsills!How does it work? Solar power charges the battery inside the jar, and when darkness falls at night-time, the Sun Jar automatically lights up, emitting a warm, yellow glow.When the Sun Jar is placed in sunlight, the solar cell creates an electrical current that charges the battery over a few hours. This energy is then used at night to power the three LED lamps inside the jar. The light is diffused by the frosted glass jar and gives the appearance of sunlight (yellow coloured LED lights are used to give a more natural and warm light).
There isn't a switch to turn the
light on - in fact, there are no visible controls at all - there is a clever light sensor inside though, and it automatically activates the LED lights when it gets dark or the lights are turned out! (There's an override switch under the lid if you would like to turn the light off at night)With a frosted finish to the glass, the Mason jar is completely watertight, so it can be used indoors or out. You can also leave the jar outside in any weather condition.
