Snowboarding was invented in the 1960s in the USA & has since grown in popularity all around the world. Considered to be one of the more difficult but ultimately thrilling extreme sports, snowboarding requires you to carve & meander your way down a slope while staying firmly strapped to your board. Experts are able to perform gravity-defying tricks & reach speeds of over 80mph! You may not be learning how to do this just yet, but these lessons are the best way enjoy snowboarding right here in the UK, no matter what your ability. Typical Programme On booking it's important you state your level of experience so that you can be put into the correct lesson to match your ability. You may be asked to arrive up to half an hour before your appointed lesson time to give you time to collect your equipment & get changed. Then you will have an initial safety briefing & you're off to the artificial snow slopes! Depending on the location you choose the equipment provided may vary from boots, boards & bindings to boots, boards, hats & scarves. Duration & Group Size Your session will last for Approx. 1½ to 2 hours, but please allow extra time to get your kit. There'll be a maximum of 10 other people in your group. You're welcome to bring family & friends along to watch you take to the slopes. Fitness Requirements & Previous Experience You will need to have general fitness to be able to participate in this activity. This activity is not suitable if you are pregnant, have a bad back or a heart condition.
