If you & your friends or family are about to hit the slopes this winter & you want to learn the basics before you get to the mountains, this gift experience is just the thing to get you started. Whether it's skiing or snowboarding you're interested in, these lessons for two will get you both up to speed with your technique & get you looking good on the piste in no time. Typical Programme On arrival, you will be given an initial safety briefing & then handed your skis & poles or snowboard along with the appropriate boots & any other equipment required. Please wear warm clothing & gloves for the experience although if you forget anything, everything you need is available to hire on the day. Once you've got all your equipment, you'll be taken out to the 180 metre indoor snow slope along with your group & qualified instructor who will then teach you all you need to know to get started on the slopes. This gift experience entitles two adults or one adult & one child over 8 years old to six hours of lessons. The six hours must be spread over two days or a three week period
- (either two lessons of three hour periods on two consecutive days or three lessons of two hour periods each week consecutively.) The lessons are suitable for complete beginners who have never tried skiing or snowboarding before or those who want to improve or need a reminder of techniques. Duration & Group Size The lessons will last six hours in total spread out over either two days or a three week period. This experience entitles two people to take part in the lessons. You will be in a group together with other learners. You are welcome to bring family & friends along to watch from the balcony. Fitness Requirements This activity is not suitable for anyone who has a bad back, who has a heart condition or who is pregnant. You are required to have a basic fitness to take part in this activity Minimum Age You must be at least 8 years old to take part. Locations & Availability The activity takes place in Greater Manchester at an indoor snow slope so is not dependent on the weather. Lessons can take place throughout the year from Monday to Sunday. Expiry The experience day gift pack voucher must be redeemed & used within the 12 month validity period.
