High Tea
Ever wondered what high tea was? Well firstly to clear things up, it's not when you drink tea while being elevated high up in the sky. Rather, it was a meal including a mug of tea, bread, vegetables, cheese and occasionally meat. In the early 19th century it would be eaten in the afternoon as a necessity while people waited to eat later on in the evening.
