Another design classic from the crew at Suck UK. The Glow Brick is a fabulously simple acrylic block with a blue glowing lightbulb inside. Even the manufacturing process for this product is impressive. Special glow-in-the-dark pigment is trapped inside a real light bulb, then the light bulb is then encased in a solid brick of acrylic resin. The mysterious glowing optical effect is actually caused by light diffracting in the tiny space between the light bulb & it's resin casing. The surface of the Glow Brick is then polished to give a lovely jewel-like effect. The Glow Brick comes to life in the dark, as the pigment inside the light bulb emits a subtle, tranquil glow.
