The Bug Zapper, where pest control & tennis collide. There’s nothing quite so annoying as being pestered by a bug or fly that thinks you’re the most fascinating thing in the room. No doubt we’ve all grabbed a rolled up newspaper & leapt about on the furniture flailing around, bashing ineffectively at the lampshade, taking out a plant or two, & if we’re very lucky indeed, finally managing to leave a smear of insect & newsprint on the wall. It’s a satisfying moment, despite the residual carnage. That is until, seconds later, another bug comes along to fill the void. What we need here is minimum effort, for a maximum result, & while we’re at it a splash of fun, enter the Bug Zapper. It’s basically a hopped up mini tennis racket with the strings replaced by an electrified wire mesh, now how good does that sound? Not only can you leave your paper be & Federer up your fly swatting, you now have the added primal (and slightly chilling) joy in connecting with a bug, hearing the zap & smelling the ensuing bug BBQ. All you need to do to operate the Bug Zapper is press the button on the handle to activate it & swat away at invading swarms. The racquet generates a low voltage through the net, so the second your victim hits it, it comes to sudden, possibly untimely, but ultimately humane & smoky end. The next time irritating nasties invade your home (we’re afraid it won’t have much effect on the in-laws), reach for your Bug Zapper & work on your backhand at the same time. We dont really need to tell you how much fun this is now do we?
