Our Sky Lanterns have been imported from China where the tradition originates from. They are known as ‘ Kong Ming Deng’, named after the leader of the three kingdom of China 184AD – 280AD. When he was surrounded by enemies he watched the wind direction & used these floating lanterns to send out as signals for help. The lanterns were later used by ordinary people, who lit them to convey their wishes to heaven.
