Product Description

Phoenix Canariensis Plam Tree This striking, architectural palm makes a superb feature & will add a sunny desert island feel to your Patio for years to come! Can be planted either in a sunny spot in the garden or a pot on the patio. Often seen in the Canary Islands & mainland Spain Phoenix Canariensis will be perfectly at home in our climate & will quite happily cope with temperatures as low as -6 degrees C. Surprisingly fast growing, your palm will form an attractive, thick trunk as it matures it can produce bunches of attractive, cream yellow flowers, followed by small black fruits. Position Will grow anywhere from full sun to light shade, can be grown in pots, or in the sheltered sunny borders. Skill level Easy to grow Hardiness hardy in most garden down to -6 best if protected in very cold weather Soil type Any moist but well drained garden soil Flowering Time summer, grown mainly for is architectural foliage. Will produce bunches of cream yellow flowers in summer followed by small black fruits. Foliage Thick leathery mid to dark green palm leaves Eventual Height 5
