New For 2014 Two Thumbs research & product development team has been undertaking some revolutionary studies into the shape of our hands in order to better understand the potential benefits of a the secure anchoring of the putter grip. Over the course of the past 2 years we have carefully measured & photographed hands to better understand the most secure way to anchor the putter. Our research has discovered a range of hand sizes & shapes but some very important common features in the shape of the area around the base of the thumb when the hand is formed into a grip shape. This junction is often refered to as the ?lifeline.? The photo below shows this common feature; There is a flat surface along the base of the thumb & then an even rounded shape running down along the fingers & thumb? fitting a grip exactly to this shape & firmly anchoring the edges of the flat part of the grip with a small radius edge gave us the best secure fit into the h&. With this in mind our prototype engineers developed a series of grips in our secret underground workshop in the French Alps. These prototypes have been demonstrated to a number of experts, coaches & professionals on the European Tour & we have now arrived at the final designs. So there are a number of technical reasons why the grip just works, but it quite simply sits in the hand more snugly & comfortably than any grip we?ve tested before. So we called it the snug?
