Fantastic Flame of War World War II Miniatures Game British Unit
- Rapid Delivery Description The Lewis gun (or Lewis automatic machine gun or Lewis automatic rifle) is a World War Iera light machine gun of American design that was perfected & widely used by the British Empire. It was first used in combat in World War I, & continued in service with a number of armed forces through to the end of the Korean War. It is visually distinctive because of a wide tubular cooling shroud around the barrel often omitted in World War I when used on aircraft & a top-mounted drum-pan magazine. It was commonly used as an aircraft machine gun, almost always with the cooling shroud removed, during both world wars. Flames of War is a World War II tabletop game where you use armies represented by painted miniature tanks, soldiers, artillery, & aircraft against another similar opponents force. To begin all you need is the Flames of War book/rules & a starting force of miniatures depending on what type of army you want to collect. The game uses 15mm scale (around 1: 100) miniatures, allowing miniatures from other manufacturers to be used. The game aspires to provide a good balance between playability & simulation & has a typical game running under 2 hours. The Second Edition Rulebook launched in August 2006, took a lot of advice from the players & integrated a lot of the FAQ material previously written to cover First Edition.
