Despite its size (length 620mm), it isn't actually that heavy &, if anything, what weight there is actually helps the duster stay in contact with the bodywork & minimises the tendency ‘to bounce’ a lighter version across the surface. The head is made from 100% cotton & is treated by baking a paraffin wax solution on to the strands. This helps lift the dust from the paintwork & it's claimed that the ‘dirtier’ the cleaning head gets, the better it works. Of course, we don't have the timescale needed to test that theory to the full over months, but first impression are excellent & the head can be washed in warm water if you need to clean it. It lacks the accuracy of a smaller duster, but is brilliant for cleaning large panels in one sweep. Pricey, but should provide years of efficient use!
