The birdbox is handmade by professionals in our own workshops. We use only high grade Western Red Cedar (sourced from well managed forests) according to the strict guidelines recommended by the RSPB & British Trust for Ornithology (BTO). This bird box has a 32mm entrance hole & is suitable for a wide range of garden birds including: Blue Tits Coal Tits Marsh Tits Great Tits House Sparrows Recent studies have indicated that the entrance hole must feature a certain size in order to attract specific bird species (eg. 25mm for Blue Tits etc.). However, this is not a rule since our extensive experience has proved that a 32mm hole will not deter Blue Tits or other small hole nesting species. RSPB has also agreed with this fact (when we collaborated for producing their branded kit) that a 32 mm hole could actually increase the chances of a pair of garden birds nesting in the box. The nest box has a small camera compartment to house the camera & connections. A quick release camera mounting bracket is also fitted to hold the camera in the right position. The Camera This Sony EFFIO CCD Ultra High Resolution 700TVL (TV Line) Camera has been designed specifically for use with flyonthewall.uk.com camera nest boxes & feeder camera kits. This truly outstanding bird box camera uses an intelligent Sony Effio DSP Chip which operates with a Super Light Sensor to cleverly adjust the image quality to suit its environment. Not only this, the Super Light Sensor also serves to adjust the x 10 infrared night vision LEDs to a graduating on/off, gently supplementing loss or gain of natural light levels with an invisible IR. The result of this outstanding technology is that we can now produce ultra high resolution colour images in full light of day & sharp black & white images at night. This high spec mini camera also houses a highly sensitive microphone so you can hear as well as see what is going on at the birdbox or bird feeder. This great little camera has a 3.6mm lens which produces a 92 degree viewing angle. The lens will have been pre-focused to the correct position but it can very easily be adjusted to suit different applications. Other System Components The system

Includes:: a professional x 3 core cable (Audio/ Video/12v DC) connected to the camera through the roof of the nest box at one end, whilst the other end of the cable will be connected on your home system. The connectors are black, yellow & white. The black connector is for powering the device. It connects to the 12V DC power adaptor supplied (looks like a mobile phone charger). The power adaptor will be plugged into a mains socket. The yellow (video) & white (audio) connectors can either be plugged into a spare AV/AUX socket on your TV, video / DVD recorder, or a spare scart socket using the supplied scart adaptor. Switch on the 12v mains adaptor, select the right AV channel on your TV, relax & start enjoying the sounds & images of nature! A fascinating & interactive feature in the garden, the Solar Insect Theatre is constructed from durable & long-lasting FSC Timber.
