Hedgehog Home With Camera System
This Hedgehog box has a mini CCD camera already installed, the hedghog cam provides clear black and white images 24 Hours a day. There is also a built in microphone so you can hear as well as see whats going on. VERY easy to set up and hours of fun for everyone.You can help the hedgehogs in your garden by providing a safe home for them over the winter months. This complete hedgehog camera kit lets you watch the cute little hedgies going about their business from the comfort of your own living room.This Hog camera nest box has been designed and ultimately tested extensively with great success over a period of 12 months by the Hedgehog Preservation Society and their hedgehog "carers". The final nest design has also been approved by Dr. Pat Morris of London University who has contributed to
its development.Hedgehogs in the GardenThe hedgehog is known as ‘the gardener’s friend’ as it will eat slugs, beetles, caterpillars etc., and does no harm, so if you have a garden a hedgehog is to be encouraged. They should not be kept in close captivity, but regarded as welcome visitors.If you want to attract wildlife to your garden leave wild areas and avoid tidying up too much. Hedgehogs tend to hibernate between November and mid March and may choose the stack of leaves or branches in your garden. For this reason if you have to get rid of such material move it to a different spot before setting fire to it - a hedgehog may be sheltering or hibernating in it. They like to nest under things such as sheds, hedges and brushwood and they need plenty of dry leaves to
build their nest.Why have a hedgehog House?25% of hedgehogs do not survive from one year to the next due to many things like road kill, bonfires, slug pellets, poisonous pesticides and late born hoglets not reaching the minimum 450g safe winter weight. So please help to provide a safer nesting environment.The Camera - used in this kit is a 520TVL (TV lines) HIGH RESOLUTION CCD. This will produce great black and white images 24/7. There are 10 Infrared LEDs which are invisible to the eye so does not affect natural roosting/nesting process in any way. A built in highly sensitive microphone allows you to hear as well as see whats going on inside the box. This bird box camera also has an adjustable focus lens.The Rest Of The System - Consists of a professional weatherproof cable connected
to the camera in the roof of the nest box. The other end of the cable has three connectors. They are black, yellow and white. The black one is for power and connects to the 12V DC mains power adaptor supplied (looks like a mobile phone charger). The remaining yellow (video) and white (audio) connectors plug into a spare AV socket on your TV, video recorder or DVD recorder.
