This unique wormery, or to give it its proper name, vermicomposting unit, is the ultimate in kitchen & green waste disposal by worms that you will ever see! This wormery beehive unit was specially designed for ease of use & to maximise both the life of the worms & their capabilities to devour & recycle kitchen & green waste. This Beehive wormery has been made from FSC certified (sustainably Resourced) wood & should last for many years. Worms need a spacious well ventilated, yet damp/moist environment to securely thrive in. This Beehive Wormery has been designed to maximise on these specific requirements. This recycling Wormery has been tried & tested to ensure that with proper feeding & management, the worms will digest & convert your green waste & kitchen waste into highly nutritious garden vermicompost. This type of compost has been proven to enhance the growth & flavour of many fruit & vegetables, as well as being a fabulous feed for your lawn & garden needs. Ventilation The Beehive Wormery is designed to allow ventilation without letting the worms escape. The effect of good ventilation is to allow the worms to breathe adequately & to allow excess moisture to evaporate. This reduces the overall internal weight & mass of the contents without harming the worms. This recycling unit does not give off any smells! Drainage The Beehive Wormery has a specially designed sump drainage section at the base of the unit. This sump will collect the valuable liquid that may be produced from your Beehive Wormery. The mesh allows the liquid to drain through to the sump without allowing the vermicompost or worms through. The highly concentrated liquid feed which may collect in this drainage section is excellent for virtually all plants whether indoor, outdoor, greenhouse, grow bag or lawn. This is highly concentrated & so for use on plants it should be diluted 1 part Vermicast liquid to 10 parts water. Capacity Deeper & wider than many other units, this Beehive Wormery has a large surface area to maximise on feeding space. This ensures that the worms have space to not only feed but also grow. The larger the surface area the greater the effectiveness of the wormery. Stability This unit is designed for safety, durability & efficiency. The Beehive Wormery has undergone rigorous tests to ensure that it is robust enough to withstand almost any amount of handling. Removal of Contents The Beehive Wormery has been designed to allow for the easy removal of the entire contents. Should you need to empty the container, each section can easily be lifted off & emptied as required. This design also provides for excellent ventillation when in use. Manoeuvrability The Beehive Wormery has large sturdy feet. It is easy to manoeuvre by lifting each section, moving to where you wish it to be & re-constructing the unit. Keep it by the kitchen door when using it for kitchen waste or maybe at the end of your garden for easy disposal of your garden waste.
